Help Summer Fight Stage 4 Lung Cancer – Support Her Healing

Hi, my name is Jordan, and I’m fundraising for my wife, Summer — my partner, my teammate, and truly the strongest person I know.

In August 2023, we were in a car accident that unexpectedly set off a chain of events. We went to the hospital after the accident and doctors found a mass in Summer’s brain. At first, they believed it was likely something benign — possibly something she was born with — and told us to monitor her symptoms. We tried to move forward as normally as possible. That October, we eloped, choosing joy and love in the middle of uncertainty.

By January 2024, things took a turn. Her symptoms were getting worse, and new scans revealed that her brain tumor had grown significantly. Surgery was scheduled for April to remove it. But during her pre-op appointment, something unexpected happened again — a routine chest X-ray showed a shadow in her lungs. The next morning, we were sent for scans and before we made it home, we were told to go to the ER because they found fluid around her heart and multiple nodules in her lungs. Days later, after a hospital stay and a biopsy, Summer was diagnosed with stage 4 ROS1+ lung cancer at 27 years old.

Despite the shock, Summer faced it all with strength. In May 2024, she underwent radiation to treat the brain tumor. It helped stabilize things, but in January of this year, she was diagnosed with radiation necrosis — a complication from the treatment that now requires ongoing monitoring and care.

Summer is 28 now. She’s smart, funny, grounded, and deeply compassionate. She’s everything to me. We’re holding on to our dreams and doing everything we can to build a life beyond cancer.

I’m working full-time while also her caregiver, managing appointments, treatments, insurance, and everything in between.

This fundraiser will help ease some of the financial pressure so we can focus on healing.
