Blessings! For those of you that know me know that I have felt the calling to be a missionary. Since I was in my early 20s, I have wanted to do this. I tried to do it myself (we all know that does not work). I reached out to a few pastors and it still did not work because it was not time.
This year has been a roller coaster of emotions for me. In January 2025 I spoke to my pastor and expressed my interest in going on a mission trip. He told me it was on his heart as well and he was going to get together with some people to plan for a trip in 2025. That plan was cut short in February when my pastor passed away.
Shortly after his passing we stopped in the grocery store. At the time we had a lot going on in our own home. I made an online order for Kroger because I wanted to get my stuff and go home. I had missed a few items, and my husband insisted we stop at Aldi. He asked me to go in with him to get the items. I went in with him though I didn't want to. As soon as we walk in I see this couple. The gentleman tells me he likes my shirt (Isaiah 6:8). I told him thanks and he asked me where I attend church. I told him, and I told him I was interested in finding a church with missions. He said something on the lines about his church and missions. Then he proceeded to invite my husband and I to a dinner their church was having for missions that Friday. I am not one to just go attend a dinner with a religious group I know nothing about. I told him sure, we will go. In the back of my head I thought, no way! I was freaking out on the inside. Friday rolls around and I told my husband, God is telling me we got to go. I feel in in my soul. I'm going to swallow my fear and go, and we did! The gentleman I met in Aldi was the head of missions for the church! I DO NOT believe in coincidence. I believe God guides every step and puts the right people at the right time.
We started attending this church to get to know the people there and hear the word. I also met another woman of God that also steers missions.
In July 23 of this year she asked me to prayerfully consider going to the Philippines in January 2026. Little did she know, 1 hour prior to her asking me I was praying and crying out to God. He heard and answered. God is so so so good!
I won't go on and on, but I can tell you there are daily miracles that have confirmed that it is God's will for me to do these missions.
My Philippines trip was recently canceled due to the lack of people willing to go. I was then asked to go to Thailand. The trip to Thailand is secured for February.
I am asking that if after reading this, you feel inclined to donate to my mission of spreading the gospel of Jesus and spread hope to the hopeless, I will be forever grateful! If you do not feel or cannot donate, prayers are just as useful and appreciated.
The church has also announced they will be going to Kenya in July-August. I am interested and currently praying about that mission as well. Anything that is over the amount needed for this trip to Philippines will be applied to Kenya. If Kenya is not meant for me to go, the funds will be donated to whomever will go through the church.
God is good, and he is faithful! God bless!
Isiah 6:8- "Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? And I said, Here am I. Send me!"
Thank you for your consideration, prayers, and/or donation. May God bless you 10x fold.
Much love,
Summer
