Calling all dog lovers:

Please help us get our Suki back to her healthy self! She's a 4yr border collie mix with a sassy, intelligent personality. She's the light of our life and is confronting severe medical issues with bills we are drowning in. (Pictures below)

Suki was spayed as a puppy, but in early May started bleeding from her vaginal area. What started as simple bacterial infection that would be cured with antibiotics has spiraled out of control. After multiple vet and ER visits, we finally were given a diagnosis today: uterine stump pyrometra. Basically, the leftover tissue from her spaying surgery is now severely infected and surgery is a non-negotiable. The percentage of dogs who are diagnosed with pyrometra after being spayed is incredibly low. Since Suki's is a rare case, it was test after test just to confirm her condition and then trying to find a willing surgeon to do the complicated, life-saving surgery was difficult.

If you have a pet, you know how scary it is seeing your loved one's health decline and not know what is going on... Unfortunately, our vet bills from visits and tests alone have amounted to $5,000. Her surgery cost close to $6000 and no payment plans were accepted.
