My cat Suki is only 9 months old, and she has her whole life ahead of her. She’s always been a source of comfort and joy in my life. Recently, she was diagnosed with a potential for FIP a life threatening but treatable autoimmune disease. It’s been an overwhelming experience. The vet has recommended three days hospitalization, chest tube, and FIP test to determine the best coarse of action. The costs for these procedures are more than I can manage on my own. The funds raised will go directly toward Suki’s emergency vet visit, hospitalization, and any surgery or ongoing care she may need. Every dollar will help ensure she gets the treatment she deserves and the chance to keep being the loving companion she’s always been.

post 20 hr update: hi everyone here’s a more detailed explanation. Last night 3/27 11:20 pm I got off from work and came home to my baby suki in critical condition! She was struggling to breath and was breathing like a fish out of water through her mouth and she could barely meow but she was begging me for help. Meowing so much when she can barely breathe! I immediately rushed her to a nearby 24hr emergency vet. Upon arrival they immediately placed her in an oxygen chamber to stabilize her after about half an hour during her chest xrays her lungs collapsed on her. They immediately performed a chest tap and stabilized her again. thankfully we’ve gotten through the worst part and now she’s hospitalized and in recovery. Her lungs were filling back with air so I had no choice but to leave her at the icu. She is now stable however I am now facing 6k of debt overnight. On top of this all she will be needing further testing and treatment. The vets are highly suspecting fip which used to be incurable but is now treatable! If she is positive it would explain all the previous symptoms and chronic eye infections. I had been taking her to the vet, and paying for costs out of pocket for her eye infections prior to all of this which has contributed to the lack of funds for emergency care. ( I already spent around 1000+) She already has cataracts and has had hyphema in both eyes which we thought was uveitis. Please donate to help my baby! I can’t imagine how long she was breathing like that for and if she didn’t get help immediately she would’ve not made it. I’m so grateful I was able to save her for now. Now we just have to see if this is FIP but I need help to continue. I’m already at my maximum financial limit. I also want to mention the fact that as much as I love her, I would not be going to these lengths if she didn’t have a real fighting chance and a potential for decent quality of life.
