*My baby girl passed away yesterday morning…
I’ve changed the goal amount from 8,000 to 1,850 to cover the medical bills from the hospitalization, medication, etc..*
Suki is my beloved cat, and she means the world to me. I adopted her from the animal shelter four years ago when she was already four years old. Before coming into my life, Suki had been given up by two previous families, but I promised her a forever home. She’s my baby girl, and I would do anything to make sure she’s safe and healthy.
Earlier this week, Suki suddenly became very ill. She started vomiting and stopped eating, so I rushed her to the vet. After a series of tests, x-rays, and bloodwork, we discovered that her bilirubin levels were dangerously high and that she has a mass above her intestines. She’s also developed feline lower urinary tract disease. Suki has already received x-rays, blood tests, multiple medications, electrolytes, and IV fluids. She’s currently hospitalized and needs more fluids, force feeding, medication, anesthesia, and surgery to give her the best chance at recovery.
This emergency has been overwhelming, especially since I just moved back home and am staying with my mother while searching for a new place. I’ve already paid a significant amount for her care using my credit card, and I’m worried about how I’ll manage the ongoing costs, especially since I haven’t been able to start working yet. Getting support from others would mean everything—it would allow me to continue Suki’s treatment, relieve some of the financial stress, and help me focus on her recovery. I don’t want to give up on her, and any help would make a huge difference for both of us.
