Dear family and friends, it is with much grief to inform everyone, our beloved 5 year old husky Suki has fallen ill and has taken a sudden turn for the worse. While she is stable at home, for now, we are facing a sudden and large financial blow from the ER visit and procedures yet to come.
Just one week ago our girl was running around playing like her normal happy energetic self. What began as a small cough we thought she got from daycare, with prompt treatment, has escalated into something much more serious and life threatening. In the past two days alone her condition has rapidly deteriorated to the point where she now has much trouble breathing, eating, and drinking. So we were forced to take her to an emergency veterinary clinic. It was there were given a very short window to decide on an expensive diagnostic measure that would cost us $5400. While her CT scans have been inconclusive, thus far, we are waiting on blood work to arrive for a proper diagnosis. While the current prognosis is unclear, it is against our best hopes that she could either have some sort of infection, or a form of vascular cancer. The former of which may be treatable. We will update everyone once we know.
We are choosing to focus on positive outcomes and the least suffering for Suki, but the cost of her remaining medical care is still unknown to us. So we humbly ask, if you are able to help in any way financially, it would be deeply appreciated. Thank you all for the overwhelming support, prayers, love, and for taking the time to read this.
