Central Square neighbor, friend, and dedicated documentarian, Suhayl "Bird" Barlow was the victim of a hit-and-run accident on Saturday, June 6th while biking home from his job in Allston. He is currently being treated for a fractured spine at Beth Israel Emergency in Boston.

In an instant, he lost not only his health, but also his ability to work and support himself as a photographer and hospitality worker. As medical bills begin to arrive and months of recovery lie ahead, his financial burden grows every day. We, his friends and collaborators from the Central Square community, are asking for donations to help cover medical expenses, rehabilitation, lost income, housing costs, and the support he'll need when he returns home. Every contribution, no matter the size, is a meaningful contribution to his recovery.

Perhaps you met Suhayl along Mass Ave, in one of his favorite shops, or admired his photography at the many places he loves in Cambridge. We know him as a dapper, considerate, and creative community member, and are dedicated—with the help of our wider community—to help him find his wings again. He has big plans for himself and his photography.
