Sugar is my beloved dog, and she means the world to me and our family. Just a day before her emergency, she was her happy, playful self. But the next morning, everything changed—she was struggling to breathe, and I knew something was terribly wrong. I rushed her to the ER, and after a few tense hours, we were sent to a specialty hospital. There, they confirmed she had an acute lung lobe torsion—a twisted lung. The team immediately started tests, including a CT scan and Doppler ultrasound, and it became clear that surgery was the only way to save her life. Thankfully, Sugar made it through the operation and is now on the road to recovery.

All funds raised will go directly to Sugar’s surgery bills and the follow-up care she needs to heal fully. If we are fortunate enough to receive more than we need, we promise to donate the extra to another animal in need. This experience has been overwhelming, but Sugar is worth everything to us. The decision to go forward with surgery was never about the cost—it was about giving her the best chance at a long, happy life, especially since her quality of life after recovery will be 100% normal. She is such an angel, and I can’t imagine our lives, or her puppy’s life, without her.
