Help Suffolk Kappa Leaguers from WMHS visit Ghana, Africa II
Donation protected
This trip is for the student Kappa Leaguers of Wyandanch Memorial High School to take an educational return trip to Ghana, Africa. As you may recall, two years ago, we had the privilege of traveling to Ghana, an experience that profoundly impacted both the boys and our mission. During our time there, we immersed ourselves in the local educational culture, which opened the boys’ eyes to a different way of learning and living. This transformative experience has given them a renewed sense of gratitude for the privileges they enjoy here in the U.S. Upon returning, we adopted a school in Ghana and have since fostered meaningful relationships between the children there and the boys here, with the students becoming pen pals. The children in Ghana had requested various school supplies, and with the generosity of many, we were able to collect and send three barrels of essential school materials items to the school.
Encouraged by the success of our previous efforts, the boys are eager to return to Ghana to engage in physical mission work, particularly with the school they have come to care for so deeply. Our goal is to paint the walls and build much-needed desks, as there were as many as 4-5 students sharing a single desk. The impact of these improvements will significantly enhance the learning environment for the students. In light of this, we are reaching out to you with the hope that you might consider supporting this important mission. Your contribution will enable us to make a tangible difference in the lives of these children, and we truly believe this experience will be life-changing for everyone involved. We would be deeply grateful for your continued partnership in this endeavor, as we know we could not accomplish this without your support.
