Help Sue stay in her home

Steve Holzer- June 20, 1962-October 9, 2021 Genoa City, WI

Steve and Sue Holzer are my neighbors and great neighbors at that. These past couple of months have been unbelievably difficult for Sue and her family.

Sue lost her mother in September and 33 days later she unexpectedly and tragically lost the love of her life, Steve.

Steve was a very dedicated man, dedicated to Sue, his wife of 32 years. Dedicated to his two sons, Jesse Sr., Russell Jr. and his grandson Jesse Jr. and their families. He was dedicated to his job at HTP America in Elk Grove, IL for for 36 years until he had heart health issues and had to leave the work force. He was also a dedicated neighbor and I can attest personally to this, my husband and our neighbor have cancer since our diagnosis Steve took it upon himself to snow plow in the winter and mow in the summer, he loved his John Deere. That’s just the type of man he was.

In October Steve started to feel ill so he went to Burlington Hospital and they sent him home twice with a misdiagnosis. Even though he hadn’t had a drink in over 20 years his liver was failing him and by the time he was taken by ambulance to St. Luke’s in Milwaukee nothing could be done.

Imagine losing your mother, which is hard enough. Then out of nowhere you lose the love of your life, your other half, your best friend…your EVERYTHING. Truly their was a love story for the ages. Now you have to figure out how to move on without him and how to cover expenses you don’t have the means to cover. Steve didn’t have life insurance and there are no other sources of income at this point.

Sue and her family have lost enough, please help me keep her in the home that she shared with both her mother and Steve.
