Help Sue Whitney recover from Covid battle

On January 1st 2021, Sue was admitted to hospital with COVID-19. Within a few days she declined rapidly, struggling to breath. She had to be placed in ICU in critical condition and on a ventilator. She ended up being placed on the ventilator 3 times, In February she was close to losing her life. They performed a tracheotomy on her, put her on dialysis and she is still fed through a feeding tube in her stomach. However, even though she found the strength to make it out of ICU, she is living with the damaging effects that COVID-19 has left her with, which the doctors say could be for the rest of her life. Because of her being in critical condition for so long, and because of the inflammation the virus has caused, her nerve endings in her biceps have died leaving her unable to use her arms properly. She has no insurance because her provider stopped covering Ohio leaving her like so many people unable to find cover she could afford. So she is not only having to fight to get better, but is doing so without the hope of any insurance covering her. She could have qualified for Medicaid, but she is on an E2 Visa. She has been in US for 12 years, owning a business, paying taxes, paying into social security, Medicare, and other government programs, and employs American workers. Yet, that is not enough.

Sue has been told that she needs serious physical rehabilitation at a care home. This is going to cost tens of thousands of dollars that we are no where close to having, The hospital where she is still currently at is trying to discharge her next week.

We desperately need her to go to this rehab center to try and get back to somewhat normal, with time running out. These funds will be life changing for her, it could be the difference she needs to having some hope of getting a chance at having a decent standard of living, and not having to have constant help, and disability in a wheelchair.  We know that so many people have suffered during this pandemic. Anything you are able to give is so much appreciated and could be the difference she needs to help her. thank you so much for reading, anything will help!! God Bless
