Help Sue Napier Get a Handicap Vehicle
Donation protected
All of us who know Sue Napier love her and, if you don't know her, keep reading. Sue suffers from Chiari Malformation Type 2, has a shunt in her brain, has had 2 strokes, has intercranial hypertension, a pituitary tumor, severe headaches, osteoarthritis and balance issues, all requiring the use of a wheelchair and a service dog. On 10/22/24, Sue and her service dog, Disco, were involved in a horrific accident where she was t-boned so hard that her vehicle flipped twice and landed upside down. Paramedics and firefighters had to cut them out of the vehicle. Miraculously, after a trip to ORMC, both were just shaken and bruised but ok. Sue's vehicle was totalled but the 2007 SUV with 300,000 miles on it was only valued by insurance at $825 and Sue and her husband, Danny, had to pay $700 of that for towing and impound. A former teacher, forced into permanent disability, Sue has spent the past 15 years raising, training and placing service dogs to help other disabled people obtain some assistance and independence. Sue selflessly gives her best effort in the service of others. In addition to this, Sue and Danny were ripped off by an AC company when their 3 year old AC system had had the compressor replaced 4 times and it ultimately died, causing them to enter into a contract to replace the system at a cost of $12,000. Sue receives minimal SSD and her 70 tear old husband, Danny, still works as a gate agent at OIA. Needless to say, they cannot afford another handicap vehicle, much less the AC and pending medical bills of which Sue has to pay 20%. PLEASE help get Sue into a handicap vehicle and help get her and Danny out of what seems to be an endless black hole!! No amount is too small!
