Help Sue & Her Kids

Donation protected
Hi, I am one of a group of 4 women that used to work together on an autism team for Rockford Public Schools in Rockford, IL. We are establishing a fundraiser to help our dear friend Susan, (Sue), Sherbon. Here is one of her lastest post from Facebook yesterday. Please consider donating to support Sue & her kids.

"Once again I am reaching out on Facebook because there are just too many family and friends to try to update by phone and text. What a wonderful problem to have! You all know I have been battling stage 4 triple negative breast cancer from my last post. It’s one of the most aggressive kinds to battle. A couple of weeks ago I found out the two tumors in my lung had grown into one large mass and were not responding to the clinical trial. I have opted to try a new trial which was supposed to start this Wednesday. (I needed 2 weeks to flush the old trial meds from my system). At about the same time two weeks ago I stated having some headaches. Hoping they were tension I let them go about a week before calling. Yesterday I had a brain MRI to find out it was actually a small lesion on the top of my brain and a very large mass on my cerebellum. They immediately took me to the ER where they consulted with neurosurgery and tried to get me on the surgery schedule for that day. I was admitted but was then bumped for surgery until Wednesday. They are keeping me so they can give steroids for the brain swelling and monitor brain function. So far I have passed all their brain function tests which is probably why I been so sick but still working. Those that know me though know that it has taken all I’ve had. I tried to have fun with a girlfriend this weekend and slept for a lot of it.

You all know that I am bad ass and will move mountains for my kids. They are my whole world! I’m so tired though and could use a little push! Please make sure they are ok. They often fight their battles alone just like I do. In spite of all of this Tanner is doing college and high school at the same time. He loves his HS hoops and never wants it to end. Hannah is working almost full time and just petitioned for an extremely difficult program. She continues to battle an autoimmune disease that leaves her feeling fatigued and a hurts alot but she still keeps moving on. I couldn’t be a more proud mom!

I’ll post more updates as I know more or have someone post for me. Love you all!"
