Help Sue Get The Medical Help She Needs
If you have been blessed to know my Mom, Sue Prior, you know what a wonderful, kind hearted, generous person she is. She loves her family and friends fiercely, and always stands up for what is right.
2 months ago she had a terrible fall. The doctors believe she hit her head at least 2 times. The damage to her brain has been overwhelming. She is suffering from short term memory loss, hallucinations and more. The traumatic brain injuries set off another problem in her body, some doctors believe neuropathy is to blame for the loss of feeling and function in her hands and feet. Regardless of the root cause, she is in need of 24/7 care! Her insurance booted her out of the hospital, even with doctors trying to fight that decision. While at home for 5 days she fell at least 3 more times, resulting in a broken ankle requiring surgery. She has been hospitalized or in rehab for 6 out of the last 7 weeks.
Sue is currently in a rehab center, receiving daily PT, OT and speech therapy. Her insurance stopped covering the cost of the rehab center, and that bill alone is racking up $300 a day. Her doctors would like to see her stay there for another month.
We are asking for prayers. She needs them, as well as our family. We also would be incredibly grateful for any donations we could put towards her medical bills.
My mom is one of the sweetest people I know. I can’t imagine how an insurance company could push her to the side like she doesn’t matter. She does matter, and her healing matters!
Thank you for taking the time to read her story.
God bless you all!
Heather ♥️
