Help Sue and Matt

Sue was diagnosed with Hepatic encephalopathy, as a direct result of her severe liver disease. A diseased liver struggles to filter toxins (substances created from the breakdown of food, alcohol, medications and even muscle) from the bloodstream. These toxins build up in the body and travel to the brain. Toxicity affects brain function and causes cognitive impairment.
People with hepatic encephalopathy may seem confused or have difficulty processing their thoughts. Treatments can remove the toxins and reverse the problem. As liver disease progresses, the condition may worsen and become less treatable.
Bottom line, she needs a new liver, but has not been a good candidate for one, because of the Hepatic encephalopathy. They decided to get a partial liver, to buy her some time to get a bit better and move up on the transplant list.

“Please..if anyone is between 18 and 56 with type o blood .please think of being my donor. I am not ready to leave this earth nor my husband. We were sent to another liver specialist. Here is the situation..my symptoms are getting worse and we have to find a partial donor for me to survive. The donor has to be between 18 and 56 with blood type O. The donors expenses are all covered by my insurance. 5 days in the hospital and then donòrs liver takes about a month to rejuvenate and grow back. So we are looking for help.
We have some news to share. We are scheduled to have a transplant on 12/13. This is 99% a go. We have a donor that before all this has meant the world to us and we have loved. For him to step up means the world and shows what a good man he is. The hospital said the transplant is like the space shuttle...its a go...go..go and then something happens. Thank you to the individuals who offered to be tested and our friends that have offered help and prayers. Not going to lie, its going to be tough and we will/are struggling financially and mentally. But I have a shot at life and we will keep the faith. ”
This is wonderful, but money is an issue. Money to keep the household going, money to stay at the hospital, parking, meals, and the post op apartment they will have to stay at, all the little things you don’t think about.
Please consider helping…it will really mean the world to Matt and Sue.
