Sue and Marty Drake just lost their home to a fire. Our parents owned and operated Santa Cruz Imported Truck Service for 35 years, creating a community and helping to keep people on the road. They were finally able to retire and re-start life in a scenic and affordable area in Chiloquin, Oregon. Sue and Marty went for daily drives up to Crater Lake, and all over Klamath Falls, they played with their dog Sally at "their" lake, and they were in love with owning property for the first time, often referring to it as a park because it is so picturesque. During their 5 years of retirement they were met with several hardships, the greatest being Sue's loss of short term memory due to complications from covid. They have now been given another great obstacle to overcome, the loss of their home due to a fire that has taken many of their possessions. Thankfully Sue, Marty, and their beloved Sally dog are all safe. Currently Sue and Marty will be staying with their daughter Shannon in Milwaukie, Oregon.
