Sue is someone who showed me incredible kindness and generosity when she didn’t have to. She helped me with $20, and what stood out to me was the compassion she showed despite the challenges she and her family are facing.

After speaking with Sue, I learned more about their situation. Sue and her husband are retired and are helping raise their grandbaby. They are doing their best to care for their family while managing their own challenges.

Right now, Sue and her husband are facing a major home repair. Their roof is leaking and needs to be replaced, but the cost is more than they can manage. Sue’s husband has arthritis and cannot safely climb ladders or complete the work himself, leaving them needing help with this important repair.

Sue also shared the pain of not being able to see her mother before she passed away during the COVID-19 restrictions. Losing the chance to say goodbye was heartbreaking and something she still carries with her.

Despite everything they have faced, Sue remains a caring and generous person. She helped me when she didn’t have to, and I want to help give back by helping her and her husband keep their home safe.

The goal of this fundraiser is to help repair their roof and provide some relief so they can continue caring for their family.
