My name is Zulema Guajardo, and I’m creating this campaign on behalf of Sue and Dave Perkins who are like second parents to me. Their daughter, Quinn Perkins, was my college roommate and best friend at Agnes Scott College.

On January 27, 2026, the Perkins family suffered a devastating fire to their home after a generator caught fire, leaving the house unsafe to live. While I am incredibly grateful they are both safe and unharmed, the loss is understandably overwhelming.

It will likely take many months to rebuild and restore the home. Even with insurance, there are many immediate and ongoing expenses that are not fully covered. The family is currently working to secure temporary housing and replace essential items. However, they are uncertain as to the types of expenses which may arise through the rebuilding process.

Dave and Sue have touched the lives of so many people through their love and generosity. It is my hope their community will surround them with the same love they have always shown, supporting them through this difficult time.
