Hello, my name is Anupa Parmar and I'm the daughter of Sudhir Dusara.
At only 63 years old, my dad was diagnosed with Colon Cancer in July 2019 and he’s currently on his 4th stage. It has been a severe shock to his physical and mental health as he’s always been an active person and now, he struggles to walk, talk, and eat.
The COVID-19 pandemic has also put a huge strain on my dad’s health as he’s had to alternate between different treatments in India and Dar Es Salaam, due to international travel restrictions. The Dar Es Salaam treatment has been extremely expensive (£48,000 for 24 sessions) as well as ineffective, causing the cancer to spread rapidly throughout his body.
My dad has already sold his belongings to pay for his medicine so as a final resort, I really need help for his new treatment to go ahead in India. He's already had to fund 10 Chemotherapy sessions in India and currently requires 8 more during his limited stay, each costing £528 (54,000 Indian Rupees), plus living costs. It is also very likely that he will need more sessions after this batch.
Our devoted family would love to give my dad a fighting chance to live a longer life and see his beloved grandchildren grow. Please donate and spread awareness for this cause.
