Help Studio VIA Leap Into Summer

We are excited to “LEAP INTO SUMMER” and are having so much fun dancing together in our "new normal".

Studio VIA ran dance classes virtually for 11 weeks (This is about 1/5th of the calendar year!)  We are thankful that we were able to finish off the last 5 weeks of originally scheduled classes virtually and are so proud of our dancers’ positive attitudes and strong work ethics through a very difficult time.  Although we did continue to teach dance through stay-at-home order, there were many aspects of Studio VIA that were not able to occur as usual and this has made a large impact on our revenue.

We are so proud to offer the Studio VIA dancers a “Virtual Recital Experience” and are looking forward to the final product.  During these unknown times we know that “everyone is in the same storm but in a different boat.”  We felt it unfair to charge dancers for a “recital fee” to participate in the virtual recital and wanted to make the recital accessible to everyone to bring joy to the dancers and to try and give them a sense of normal.  We also feel very strongly that we should give everyone a free copy of the virtual recital so they have a memory of their dancer’s performances and to share with extended family and friends that wont be able to see them on stage this season.

To help offset the rising expenses as a result of COVID-19 pandemic, we have started a GoFundMe campaign to help us “Leap Into Summer” with a fresh start.  If you are able to make a donation to Studio VIA to help cover the expenses listed below, we would appreciate the added support during this time.  

-        Tight and shoe sales for 2 competitions ($1000)

-        Tight and shoe sales for our annual recital ($1500)

-        Dance photography sales (I was unable to take the kids pictures this year) ($5000)

-        Dance recital DVD sales ($1000)

-        Recital ticket profit (about $5 per ticket goes to the studio to help cover the time to put the recital together, creating programs, cutting music, ordering awards, etc) ($5000)

-        Recital Viewing Party ($250)

-        Summer Tuition Registration lower due to smaller class sizes for social distancing ($4000)

We also had added expenses during this time to run our business virtually and to prepare Studio VIA for a safe reopen.


-        Sanitizing products ($500)

-        Signs, posters, decals for safe social distancing instructions ($150)

-        Masks for dancers ($300)

-        ZOOM fees ($50/month)

VIRTUAL RECITAL EXPECES:

-        Curtains, lights, videography equipment ($500)

-         Videographer to put together virtual recital and pay for live stream ($1000)

-          Each dancer receiving a free USB of the virtual show ($1000)
