Hey everyone, we are a group of students at UCSB who recently traveled to UC Berkeley for a conference. On our way to Oakland airport, we stopped briefly at a restaurant, and during that time, our luggage was stolen.

Inside those bags were essential items like laptops, iPads, chargers, and other personal belongings that we rely on every day for school and work. In total, the loss is over $8,000, and it’s already affecting people’s ability to keep up with school and responsibilities moving forward. We’ve already had two people call off their midterms due to this.

We’ve filed a police report and are doing everything we can on our end, but recovery isn’t guaranteed.

Because of that, I’ve created a GoFundMe to help replace the essentials that were taken and get everyone back on track as soon as possible. Anything helps, whether it’s a donation or just sharing this with others.
