Eliminate School Lunch Debt at Newton Rayzor!

School districts around the country are drowning in students’ lunch debt.

Three months after the federal government stopped providing free school meals to all public school students, some districts are reporting thousands of dollars in unpaid bills. According to the School Nutrition Association, the unpaid balance for school meals reached as high as $1.7 million in one district alone.

This issue is so pervasive that nearly every public school is experiencing these financial challenges too. Right around the corner from Soma Massage Therapy, our neighbors at Newton Rayzor Elementary have students with a collective unpaid school lunch debt of over $3,000. The school continues to feed their students (because that's the kind of people they are!) but it's a huge financial burden for a school that is already strapped for cash and resources.

Soma Massage Therapy would like to partner with you to give the students in the Newton Rayzor Elementary cafeteria a helping hand and a hot lunch!

Now through Feb. 28, we will match dollar-for-dollar up to $1500 to help pay off this school lunch debt. Any additional funds raised will be donated to NRE to help the teachers purchase supplies and books for their library and classrooms.
