Help Students Explore The Crucible's Roots

Hi... I'm Linda Chick, American Literature teacher at Manchester High School West. We are currently reading Arthur Miller's The Crucible, and I would like to take my students to The Salem Witch Museum and for a brief walking tour of the village that made the play famous.

Most of my students have never been out of Manchester. We have an over 75% population who receive free or reduced lunch, and the neighborhood around the school is primarily welfare subsidized. These kids could never afford to go on their own and have expressed an overwhelming interest to do so with me. As an educator, I am not wealthy, and the cost of a bus and entrance fees are beyond a bake sale's earnings! Please help me bring a bit of the literary world to life for these kids.
