Over 95% of my students are on free and reduced lunch. We have wonderful families and students, but financial difficulties make it hard for them to pay for field trips and school necessities. I believe that learning takes place everywhere, and I want to provide my students with opportunities to take their learning off campus—whether it’s learning about civilizations of our past and seeing artifacts, exploring the beauty of our desert, or experiencing plays and musicals.

Unfortunately, many families simply can’t afford these experiences or even the basic supplies needed for school. I want every student to have what they need so they can focus on elevating their learning, develop a love of learning, and believe in themselves—that they can do and be anything they want to be.

The funds raised will cover the costs of field trips and school supplies, giving my students the chance to experience hands-on learning and have the essentials they need for school.
