Hello, my name is Shannon. I’m now approaching the end of my third and final year of my midwifery degree . My journey has been challenging, transformative, and one I’m incredibly proud of.

I’ve been honoured to be selected by my university for an amazing opportunity to travel to Mauritius and experience maternity care in a completely different cultural setting. This placement will allow me to learn from new environments, deepen my skills, and grow even further in the profession I’m so passionate about.

However, I need a little help to make this dream possible. Due to the nature of midwifery training and the many unpaid clinical hours required, I haven’t been able to work alongside my degree for the past three years. Any donation, no matter the size, would mean the world to me and would help me get to Mauritius to learn, grow, and bring back invaluable experience to my future practice.
