Please help Kobe La pay for medical bills, lost wages, and other needs after suffering a brutal attack in San Diego.  Kobe and his friends started out for a fun day at Ocean Beach on June 15.  They surveyed a fire pit before claiming it after no one seemed to be using it.   They had been at the beach for hours when an unidentified male confronted them.  He said he was 35 years old and demanded they leave, claiming the beach and the fire pit as his.

He threatened to return after dark, which he did with four friends. They attacked the smallest friend in the group first, and they then attacked Kobe when he went to defend his friend.  As the attackers left, Kobe heard one of them say, "If you guys are here any later, we’re going to shoot all of you." The attackers then jumped in a get-away car that had its engine running, waiting to whisk the attackers away.   

The attack - which took place in the backdrop of racial slurs - left Kobe with a concussion, loose teeth, a broken jaw, and 3 days in the hospital. Kobe is currently on a liquid diet with his jaw wired shut.  He is unable to work and faces uncertain medical bills.
