Help Stuart Thompson Produce His Comedy Special

Hey, everybody! My name’s Stuart Thompson. I’m a comedian, cat dad, and aspiring Ned Flanders impersonator. I’m filming my first comedy special this November at the Punch Line in San Francisco and releasing it for free on YouTube in 2024!

The Punch Line is my home club in the Bay Area and one of the first clubs to take a chance on me. In addition to being a gorgeous venue, the club has so much rich history and is a pivotal part of my development as a comedian, giving me opportunities to host and feature weekends over the years. Now, I’m coming back to headline, and I want to make this moment…well, special. Every time I return to the club, I feel like I'm coming home. I can't think of a better place to make this lifelong dream a reality. 

What’s amazing is I can make a stand-up special without waiting for the big streamers to give their stamp of approval. By self-producing this project and releasing it on YouTube, I’ll own 100% of the rights to my material. I’ll have creative control over which jokes you get to see, and you can be a part of making that possible.

Unfortunately, producing a quality special, even one that’s as simple as what I want to make, is super expensive - way more than I can handle alone.

The specials you see on the streamers can be anywhere from $40,000 to $100,000. I’m not looking for anything close to that. I just want to make something I’m proud of at my home club.

I’m asking for $15,000.

None of this money goes toward paying me. I’m already putting a significant amount of my own money into this project. All I care about is creating an incredible product that authentically reflects my comedy and is accessible to everybody. I’ve been working hard touring all over the world polishing this material. I just need some help getting over this last hurdle. Together, we can make something incredible.
