Help Stuart Replace His Stolen Camera Gear

Hey family and friends--on January 29th at 6pm in Manhattan nearly all of my camera equipment and camera accessories were forcibly stolen off my person. I had arranged to meet a woman I had been chatting with on marketplace for days to look at selling my Sony FX6, lens, and accessories because I was planning on using the money to buy a different camera. This woman had me convinced she knew about and was interested in cameras. As I was about to enter the restaurant we had planned to meet at I was rushed by three men who literally ripped the camera bag I was carrying off my arm and ran away with all of my gear. This was a setup/scam.

I am safe thankfully and was not harmed. I'm still pretty shaken up and gutted this happened and, unfortunately, for various reasons my gear was not insured so I sadly have no other choice but to set up this GoFundMe since my camera is literally my work and livelihood. Please consider donating so I can replace my stolen gear or sharing this page so I can get back to working as soon as possible.

Again, the camera was not insured because I let my policy expire recently because it was expensive, I wanted to cut monthly costs, was planning to sell it soon as I mentioned...and you really never think something like this will happen until it does. I was embarrassed to share some of this because I feel stupid and taken advantage of, but if I can take a positive from this besides my own safety it's that I should share that if an interaction like this feels shady or a little off, it's not worth pursuing and could even be unsafe.
