Hello, my name is Suzi Brown, and I’m writing this as a mother who’s deeply concerned for her son, Stuart.
Stuart is the proud owner of Southeastern Walk-In Tubs and Showers, a business he built from the ground up to help seniors and families across the Lowcountry live safer, more comfortable lives. He’s always been the kind of person who shows up — with integrity, with kindness, and with a deep sense of responsibility to his clients and community.
But in recent months, Stuart’s health has taken a frightening turn.
A little over a year ago, Stuart began experiencing strange and debilitating symptoms. He traveled to the Mayo Clinic, where he was diagnosed with parasomnia, a serious sleep disorder, and a serious infection in his lungs and sinuses. With treatment, things seemed to improve, and we were hopeful that the chapter was behind us.
Unfortunately, it came back — and this time, with a vengeance.
Now, Stuart is once again unable to sleep for days on end. He’s in constant pain from falling during sleepwalking episodes. Now specialists believe there may be an autoimmune syndrome at play, compounding his symptoms and making recovery even more difficult. The exhaustion and uncertainty have made it nearly impossible for him to work, and it’s devastated his ability to get out into the field and serve his clients.
As a mother, it’s heartbreaking to watch your child suffer — especially someone as hardworking and selfless as Stuart. He’s doing everything he can to get answers, but the medical journey is long, expensive, and filled with unknowns.
Meanwhile, his business — his livelihood — is struggling. Southeastern Walk-In Tubs and Showers has had to pause operations, turn away clients, and absorb financial losses that threaten its future.
We’re asking for help to support Stuart through this difficult time. Donations will go toward:
• Medical appointments, testing, and treatment
• Basic living expenses while he’s unable to work
• Support to keep his business afloat until he can return
• Any unexpected costs that arise during his recovery
Stuart is a fighter. He’s determined to get better, to get back to work, and to continue serving the Charleston community he loves so much. But right now, he needs help — and we’re humbly asking for yours.
Thank you for reading. Please share on Facebook or any other social media platform and support Stuart’s journey toward healing. Every donation, prayer, and kind word means more than you know.
With love and gratitude,
Suzi Brown
