Help Stuart Fight Cancer
Donation protected
Imagine the most dependable, caring, and thoughtful friend, husband, and lover of animals (especially 3-legged dogs), and you will have a good starting point to know my friend Stuart. He's super smart, always has something interesting to say, and musings that both teach and make you laugh at the same time. His overactive brain has been tough to keep up with over the years, but it's been fun trying.
A few weeks ago, completely out of the blue, Stuart went to the ER, not quite feeling right, thinking he had a virus of some kind. He was overheating and starting to have difficulty talking to people. Unfortunately, tests revealed two glioblastomas in and on his brain--a fast-growing and aggressive type of cancer that is incurable and has a poor prognosis for survival as most people diagnosed with this disease survive less than two years*.
Stuart has begun radiation and chemotherapy, with all the not-so-wonderful physical and mental symptoms that come with those treatments. Some days are better than others. He and his wife, Jennifer, have been through the wringer the last few years though, from COVID hospitalisation to caring for Jennifers mother with dementia on very little resources. In fact, Stuart's mother in law passed just six weeks before his diagnosis, so they've had no respite. All this to simply say that I want to help them navigate this difficult time, and I'm hoping you can too.
Since he was diagnosed, Stuart is no longer able to work and is now in his fourth week of daily treatments. I want to try to alleviate some of their financial stress so he can enjoy these last moments with Jennifer and have some sense of dignity and peace.
100% of proceeds will go directly to Stuart and Jennifer to cover medical costs and, since Stuart can no longer work, fuel costs, travel costs, utilities and even food.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could also help, in any small way, to positively impact their life by donating to this cause and to hopefully bring some relief in this difficult time. All proceeds go directly to Stuart and Jennifer.
Thank you
