I’m Sam Martin, one of two science teachers at Street School, an alternative high school in Tulsa. We are raising funds to purchase lumber to enable four physical science classes to build a pair of Trebuchets (think catapult, but cooler!). This project enables us to teach physical science concepts while also letting students learn how to cooperate, communicate and collaborate in the best way: project-based learning! We have done this project in the past, every other year, and it’s always an excellent experience for all involved. Any extra funds will be put towards tools we can use every year going forwards!
