___________
Zuerst einmal hier transparent alle Zahlen:
1.493,00 Euro - für 7 Monate Fürsorge, Futter, Tierarztbesuche, Training (Leine, Flugbox, Kommandos,..), Regelung des Adoptionsverfahren bis ich sie Mitte Juni holen komme. (8000 THB monatlich, ca 213 Euro)

1.334,00 Euro - Adoptionsprozess selber mit:
2 Sets Impfungen (1000 THB - 27 Euro)

1.600,00 Euro - Prothese.

How we met:

25th of October 2025, It was the morning of the first day of my 2 week vacation on an island in Thailand, when i wanted to jump on my scooter and leave the beach towards town. A truck appeard, two people and a cage with a dog inside. All the other dogs of this beach came running by and the people released the dog from the cage.
I saw her and I was struck. She came running towards me on three legs and i fell in Love.
Her story ist heart breaking.
Chicklet (as they called her in the veterinary) was always the weakest in her pack what means, that when there was someone feeding them or they found food, she would Not receive any, they would chase her away or bite her. This situation was not just for food, but for all their needs (save sleeping place, a friendly tourist who could happen to feed or give safety,...)
Then she got attacked by a huge monitor water lizzard (they are about 1 meter long and have poison in their theeths), thats why they had to amputate her leg.
They also found a metal bullet right above her amputated leg where we dont know the story about.
So when she came back after weeks, the pack rejected her!
Luckily I was there from the moment she came back and could try to help.
She was very shy, but would always shine and radiate love, like she never gave up on the good in people and other dogs!
She is such a pure soul, this touched me so much. Even if she just got bitten by one of the other dogs, she walked towards him and licked his mouth like she was asking 'i forgive you, can we just love each other now?'
Slowly she felt save coming inside my Bungalow (in her whole 1,5 years she would always sleep under the stars) and we really started bonding.
The end of my holidays came near and I needed to find a solution. I could not leave her, she would not make it!
Beside her Handicap, the rejection of her pack, Monitor lizzards or snakes there are also locals intoxicating street dogs on purpose and other scary stories (remember the bullet found near her shoulder).
The only solution that could appear was, that i adopt her!
Many nights I struggeled with decision making, my life would need to change from then on! But honestly, I wanted to adopt her from the beginning on!
Now she stays in the Island in a Home of a sweet woman and her daughter taking care of her (and 6 other dogs) since I had to leave. I get Pictures and Videos daily.
They care about the adoption process which takes a few months and mid-June i will come back and get her with me to Switzerland!
I am so excited, but honestly quiet empty and sad, leaving her for so long time.
Chicklet, now Phoebe, took a few days to warm up in her new Environment and now learns, that other dogs can be friends and that she can play and enjoy her dog life and that she is worth being loved and cared for! She is save!

Best wishes,

Narnia and Phoebe!
