Surgery Needed for Stray Puppy

This sweet pit-mix puppy was found dodging traffic on Murfreesboro Road in Murfreesboro, TN this week. She is not chipped and we are continuing to look for her owners, but we fear she may have been abandoned.
She was limping when we found her, so we took her to the vet and learned that she has a fractured knee and tail and requires surgery. We have already paid $400 for x-rays, vaccines, and meds, but surgery will be another $2,500 + recovery costs.
Please help us so that we can get her treated and adopted!
The vet believes she is either 4 or 5 months old and that her injury was caused by some extreme trauma. She is incredibly sweet, calm, well-mannered, and seems to get along great with people and other dogs. She has truly stolen the hearts of everyone she has met and she needs our help!
