Stray Hearts of Sigonella, formerly known as Save A Sigonella Stray (SASS) is a small rescue group made up of Sigonella animal lovers who volunteer day and night to help capture, care for, and rehome the many strays in the area. We are located on and around Sigonella Naval Air Station in Catania, Sicily, Italy. With over 600,000 plus strays in Sicily, the need is great. The rescue was originally formed by Ania Grajewski-Osuch back in 2016, and has helped hundreds of abandoned, malnourished strays get medical treatment and find loving homes. We also are active in a local Trap, Neuter, and Release (TNR) program in an effort to control the feral cat population. Many times, the volunteers must use their own money to cover food, supplies, and medical expenses for the animals they rescue. Your donation helps the group continue to their efforts in saving lives and decreasing the stray population.
From our president and our entire team: "From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you so much for your support. We simply could not do it without you. “ Only together we can!"
