Helping the Forgotten Stray Cats Left Behind

I’m not a rescue or organization — just one person in a small town near Regina, Saskatchewan, trying to help a growing group of stray cats that people have abandoned near my home.

These cats aren’t tame or friendly — they’re scared, cautious, and have clearly been through a lot. But they’re starting to trust me a little more each day, waiting for food and slowly realizing they’re safe here.

I’ve reached out to several rescues and organizations for help, but they’re all at capacity and unable to take in more cats right now — which is why I’ve taken on the responsibility myself, but can't solely afford the care they require.

My focus is on providing food and shelter to the cats that are already here and the new ones that keep showing up... and need help now. I simply don’t have the time or resources to do it all myself. My hopes are to try to TNR them, one cat at a time.

All donations go directly toward food, shelter, insulation, and vet care — especially spaying and neutering to prevent more kittens from being born into harsh prairie conditions.
