This sweet, quiet boy came into my life in late 2019, just a stray looking for a little food and a place to feel safe. Over time, he became so much more than that—he became family. Every day, he would come by for meals, wait patiently by the porch, and keep us company in his own gentle way. He formed a special bond with my indoor cat too—they would play together through the glass door like best friends separated by just a window. Even though he lived outdoors, he was never really “outside”—he was always part of our home, always part of us. Then one day, he disappeared. For a whole month, I didn’t know where he was or if he was okay. It was heartbreaking not knowing what had happened to him. When he finally came back, I was relieved—but that relief quickly turned into heartbreak. He was hurt badly. His paw had been crushed in a way that couldn’t heal on its own. There was no question in my mind—I had to help him, just like he’s always been there for me. We rushed him to the emergency vet, and now he’s facing an amputation and a long road to recovery. Through all of this, he’s still the same gentle, loving soul—seeking comfort, leaning into affection, and trusting us completely despite everything he’s been through. It’s honestly incredible. This time, he won’t have to survive outside anymore. I want to give him the life he’s always deserved—safe, warm, and full of love inside a home where he belongs. The funds raised will go directly toward his emergency care, his amputation surgery, and everything he’ll need to heal and adjust to his new life. Every single donation, share, or kind word truly means more than I can express. Thank you for caring about him, for taking the time to read this, and for helping give him the second chance he deserves.
