For the past two years, a stray cat has been a regular visitor in my neighborhood. We call him Li’l Baby. Whenever he came around, I made sure he had food and a little comfort. During a recent winter storm, he showed up at my door, but this time he wasn’t putting any weight on his right leg. I brought him inside to keep him safe from the cold and to get him the help he needed.
Yesterday, I took him to Palmetto Animal Clinic in Spartanburg, where I learned that he had been shot and there was a bullet lodged in his shoulder. The vet told me that his leg would need to be amputated to give him a chance at a pain-free life. His surgery is scheduled for today, and he’ll need to stay at the clinic for a day or two afterward to recover. The total cost for his care will be much higher than I can manage alone.
The funds raised will go directly toward his surgery and medication, helping him recover and hopefully enjoy a better life. I would appreciate any donations to help cover the cost. Your support means so much to both of us, and I’m grateful for any help you can give.
