For the past few years I have been experiencing worsening health issues — extreme chronic pain, brain swelling, system wide infections, memory problems and severe nerve issues. Recently, I struggle with basic daily tasks.

I found a specialist who was able to diagnose me and who has experience successfully treating complex autoimmune conditions. This doctor has helped others put these illnesses into remission and for the first time in a long time, I feel hopeful.

Unfortunately, none of these costs are covered by Medicaid. I need support for this critical window of effort of the next 8–9 months of structured care to put this in remission.

The funds will go towards:

    •    Out-of-pocket medical appointments

    •    Medications

    •    Continual testing

    •    Daily survival costs for when I am unable to work

My last doctor’s appointment cost $1,200 out of pocket, and future visits, medications and testing are essential for me to keep moving toward recovery.
