Hi Everyone, meet Stormi my beautiful Black and Tan 10month old dobie aka my Best Friend!!

Stormi sadly hasn’t had the best start in life, she was born with a deformity in her left paw. At 8 weeks old the vet confirmed it was missing Cartilage that was just cosmetic and wouldn’t cause her any issues as she got older.

Stormi joined my family in July 2020, she is just amazing, she has the most gentle temperament. She was quick to learn new tricks and settle in as part of the family. Stormi formed a beautiful friendship with my 4year old son, they became best friends, playing together, sleeping together, eating together. Best buddies

In September 2020 Stormi developed a limp completely out of the blue, I took her to our vets and they prescribed Stormi pain relief which worked instantly, her limp remained but would occur when she had been off her legs for a while and some days it would completely stop. During this time our bound with Stormi grew and she became the reason we smiled everyday.She was OUR family ❤️

This March 2021 Stormi had been for her usual walks, then suddenly she started to limp again and it got worse. She was walking on just her three ‘good legs’ and when that became a struggle she stopped walking all together, she stopped eating, she stopped getting out of her bed, she cried and cried, and she started to mess herself due to been unable to get up. This all happened in the space of 24hrs, I rushed her to the emergency vets and got the most hardest news, it was so much to take in. The vet informed me Stormi has muscle wastage to her Left front leg, carpal hyperextension, abnormal digital pads and abnormal flexion of pads. The vet said Stormi would need reconstruction prosthetic or amputation of her leg. How could this be happening, she’s still just a baby. Heart broken I’ve contacted my insurance company and they informed me that due to Stormi been born with these abnormalities they wouldn’t be able to cover this Leg. The vet agreed Stormi would be a perfect candidate for a Clinic which specialises in reconstruction. Once researching this clinic and their prices my heart broke. How am I going to pay for all this Scans, X-rays, surgery, prosthetics, physio.

This is where the go fund me page and you guys come in. I know times are very difficult right now, but all I ask is for some help.

Help to raisefunds towards these costs. Help for my girl, nothing is to small of a donation. All donations would be greatly appreciated. I would travel to the ends of the earth for my best friend, and if that means swallowing my pride to ask for help, I will do just that. Please help me help her, help me give her the best quality of life that she deserves. I don’t want her to suffer or be in pain for the rest of her life. She doesn’t deserve that, I’m here fighting for her and I’m asking for your help.

Stormi is currently on pain medication whilst we await X-rays and referrals. So far Stormi is coping with the medication but I know this won’t last forever. She is the most loyal, loving, kindest dobie and I owe this to her to help her the best I can.
