Our brother Irvin was born with glaucoma, which is one of the leading causes of blindness. As a child, doctors wrote him off and told our mother to put him in woodshop classes. However, mummy had big dreams for her only son. She never gave up on him and even though his journey has been hard, he continues to persevere.  




From infancy until late 2019, Irvin's glaucoma has been managed using eye drops and quarterly visits to his ophthalmologist. In early 2020, Irvin's eye pressure has uncontrollably increased and drops have become ineffective. As a result, he had emergency surgery on May 1st in an attempt to decrease his eye pressure.

A week into his recovery, we lost our mother to COVID-19. Not only was he dealing with the devastating loss of our mother, but he had to deal with the fact that the surgery was deemed unsuccessful. His eye pressure has been dangerously elevated. This increase in eye pressure is causing him to lose his vision with each passing day.  Without surgical intervention, he will go blind before the end of this year. 

So now here we are humbly asking for your help. Irvin desperately needs funds to cover:  

1. The cost of the outstanding balance ($13,677) from his first surgery
2. The cost of his second surgery and post-operative care
3. His living expenses while he takes unpaid time off from work to recover
