Help Stone Truett Get a Life-Saving Transplant
Hi, my name is Stephany. My son is Stone Truett. He was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease stage 3, also aorta valve displacement, failure to grow, failure to thrive, and delayed development. Stone's father passed away when Stone was 5 years old. He's so far had to have a balloon put up into his heart, but they have to be very careful because the contrast will shut down his kidneys.
Now, at the age of 16, Stone is diagnosed with chronic kidney disease stage 4, which puts him in the category of needing a kidney transplant. I don't have a very good vehicle, and we have to drive anywhere from an hour and a half to three and a half hours just for his appointments. I am on disability myself. Stone was put on disability at a very young age, but when he was on growth hormone shots, they decided he got better and took him off his growth hormone shots at the age of three because they weren't working anymore. I did not want to torture my 3-year-old with shots that didn't work. The year after his dad died, they took his disability away. He is back on growth hormone shots and back on his disability, but it does not help us get gas, car repairs, or feed him while we are down there. We hope that Ronald McDonald has a room for us; if not, we would have to stay at a motel.
It hurts me deeply to ask people for help. He's my son, and I should be able to do this on my own. I wish I could do it all on my own, but unfortunately, with the times, I need a little bit of help, and I'm hoping the community will help us. Poor little boy grow up to be a very good man. Thank you in advance. God bless you all. If anybody is interested, they could also be a live donor. If interested in that, you can contact me, and I can give you the information to get started on it. Thank you again.
