My stepdad, Johnnie Dale, is a devoted stepfather and grandfather who has always gone above and beyond for our family and our community. He’s known for fundraising for his church and supporting kids in the neighborhood, always putting others first. Recently, Johnnie suffered a stroke that left him paralyzed on his left side. He spent nearly two months in the hospital, learning to walk and talk again, and has faced ongoing complications and high blood pressure. Since returning home, he’s been unable to work, and the bills have been piling up on my mom, Tammie Dale, who is scrambling and overworking herself to make ends meet.

There were months when their water was off and the mortgage was behind. One of my siblings stepped in to help, but unfortunately, it’s not enough to keep them afloat until Johnnie can work again or receive disability. As my parents navigate illness, inflation, and overall hard times, I am also fighting to save my childhood home, a place filled with memories and love. The funds raised will go directly toward medical bills, daily living expenses, and helping them keep their home, providing a much-needed cushion for my family during this difficult time.
