In the Isle of Harris on Sunday evening (25/10/26), retained fireman Stewart MacLean was finished with a call out when he went home to Rodel to have a shower. On his way home, he discovered that his own house was on fire and even though the fire service attended as soon as was possible, the family have lost everything but the clothes they had with them.

Thankfully due to there having been a power outage earlier, the family (his pregnant wife Karen and young daughter Isla) had decamped to Strond and were safe from the fire.

Please help with any donation, no matter how small, to give this local Harris family a head start on rebuilding their lives and possessions.
