Yesterday, Stewart, Amy, Jessie, Leland, and Myla experienced a devastating house fire that appears to be a total loss. In a single day, they lost their home, their sense of stability, and so many of the belongings that made their house a place of comfort and safety. Thankfully, everyone who was home got out safely, and the animals made it out without injury as well. Right now, the family is staying with April’s uncle while they try to process the shock and heartbreak of what has happened.

Stewart and Amy are the kind of people who work hard and are always there for others, and Jessie is now trying to care for Leland and Myla while facing this overwhelming loss. To make this even harder, their insurance only covers $10,000, while the damage to the home alone is expected to cost at least $50,000, not including everything that was lost inside. Donations will help with immediate needs after the fire, including replacing essentials and belongings, supporting temporary living arrangements, and helping them begin the long process of rebuilding and recovery.
