Help Stevie's Recovery After Seizure

UPDATE 06/04/25, 7pm:
Tessa took Stevie to her pediatrician today for her follow up appointment, and her doctor conducted a new draw up of bloodwork. She was less than enthusiastic about the lack of answers we were given by the hospital, so she ordered a 24 hour EEG screening that will be conducted as soon as possible. Please join us in praying that is tomorrow, as we need answers, but the test is subject to availability of the hospital. We are still waiting for the results of her blood culture.
On Sunday night, my niece Stevie had a grand mal seizure and had to be resuscitated.
Around 7pm, Stevie was getting ready for bed with her mom and dad when she began having a seizure. They immediately called 911, threw Stevie into the car, and sped to the nearest hospital. She seized the entire way there—about 11 minutes—and then ended up going limp. Her mom, Tessa (my sister), began giving her mouth-to-mouth resuscitation until they arrived at the hospital.
When they got there, they ran inside the emergency room screaming for help, where they were met by doctors and nurses who quickly took Stevie from them, laid her on a bed, and began doing chest compressions and mouth to mouth. They could not get the seizures to stop after she was resuscitated, so they ended up sedating and intubating her. While under sedation, she continued to seize, so they life-flighted her from their hometown to a larger hospital nearby.
While there, she was stabilized and underwent testing, including an EEG and bloodwork. By absolutely nothing other than a miracle, Stevie’s EEG revealed that she has no damage to her brain. We are certain that Jesus saved Stevie’s life that night and preserved her sweet little mind as well.
However, we still don’t have the answers we need. Why did this happen? Infection? Febrile seizure? We still don’t fully know. She sees a doctor tomorrow afternoon, where we will hopefully get more answers and a step in the next direction.
As they continue to seek treatment for answers, the medical expenses are adding up daily. I’ve created this in hopes that we can offset some of their financial burden and help them focus solely on seeing baby Stevie get better as soon as possible, also because they would never ask for this help on their own!
Truly, I want to emphasize the miracle and steadfast hand of Jesus on Stevie’s life. He is able, and He is so worthy of our praise.
