Hi friends, I’m a little out of my comfort zone sharing this, but I could really use some help right now. I was recently in a car accident after falling asleep at the wheel coming home late from a part-time shift that only has hours for me about once a week until 3 AM, while I’ve been trying to keep a healthy sleep routine as I search for full-time work. My car was towed and is now stuck with storage fees I can’t afford. I had just used my 401k to buy that car, and I will not, and have not, been receiving unemployment payments, so this has been a really tough setback. I also didn’t have insurance on my car, so all costs are coming out of pocket. My car may very well be totaled, and because of where I live, it would be almost impossible to get transportation to work except in the summer. This has been a huge barrier to getting a job until a few weeks ago when I got this car.
Funds will help cover towing and storage fees, repairs or replacement of my vehicle, the cost of buying a different vehicle if needed, and heat and electric bills. I’m also enrolled in community assistance programs as much as I’m eligible, but it’s not enough to get me through this tough time.
I know how impactful it is to reach out to someone in need, and I’ve made it my duty to return the favor whenever I can. Even though it’s hard to ask for help again, I’m focused on the future and determined to become successful in a new way. I’m a capable, independent, and giving person. I have experienced success in the past, and when I did, I was able to extend my hand to others and volunteer for many organizations, including an animal rescue and homes for abused women. I’m also a newborn Christian who values what I learned at a discipleship program this summer. Please help me on my journey to get back on my feet. If you can’t donate, thank you for reading and God bless. And if anyone happens to have a vehicle for sale at a very low price, that would be amazing as well.
