Stevie is the most amazing woman I know. We've been together for 11 years, and three years ago she started her transition journey. Coming out to your wife after nine years is not easy, especially living in Texas, but Stevie is the strongest person I know. Despite the challenges, she still has this joy about her and a desire to be her authentic self. Even with the stares at grocery stores and the need to plan outings around bathroom visits because she doesn't feel safe using public restrooms, Stevie continues to live each day unencumbered.

Stevie tirelessly advocates for herself, and I've witnessed firsthand the heartbreak she's endured while seeking medical procedures to help her feel like her authentic self and increase her safety. Right now, Stevie needs facial feminization surgery (FFS). It is expensive, and while we are more than willing to throw our life savings into this, it is still not enough. This surgery would be life-changing for Stevie, helping her feel safer and able to live authentically.
