Stevie is my service dog and my lifeline. She helps alert, prevent, and shorten the time and severity of my non-epileptic seizures, along with my other neurological symptoms. With Stevie by my side, I’m able to function independently in the world. Without her, I need someone to accompany me almost everywhere, which is incredibly limiting and difficult. She helps me in so many ways just by being her sweet self, but she has quite literally saved my life countless times.

Last week, Stevie developed a large lump and we rushed to urgent care. After testing, the vet found some abnormalities, but no conclusive diagnosis and unfortunately, Stevie hasn’t responded to antibiotics or anti-inflammatories. The lump is getting larger, and her vet feels it’s necessary to do exploratory surgery today (5/11/26). This procedure is the best chance for Stevie to recover and continue being my partner in life.

I know I’ve been fundraising for my album this past year and I truly wish I didn’t have to ask for more help, but my options are limited right now.

There are no organizations or funding for service dogs (that I am aware of at least) so all cost and care are put on their handlers...who are disabled... which can get very tricky at times like these.
