Help Steve Sherman's Fight Against Stage 4 Cancer

Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Kindhearted Strangers,

I’d like to introduce you to my dear friend Steve—an incredible man in his early 60s who has spent over 25 years in the car business. His approach is refreshingly old-school: a firm handshake, a listening ear, and complete honesty. He doesn’t just sell cars—he builds lasting friendships.

But behind the warm smiles and friendly conversations lies a heartbreaking truth:

Steve is in the fight of his life.

A Relentless Battle Against Stage 4 Cancer
In May of 2023, Steve was diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer. Since then, he’s undergone months of grueling treatments, including but not limited to:

  • 8 months of chemotherapy that unfortunately did not have the impact they had hoped for.
  • Weeks of radiation therapy across multiple parts of his body.
  • A 12-hour spinal surgery on July 8, 2024—due to compression fractures caused by tumors—which left him with temporary amnesia for over 24 hours. The surgery involved two stages and was a major physical and emotional setback.
  • A new chemotherapy regimen that now also requires monthly bone-strengthening infusions.
  • Despite all of this, Steve has never asked for help—until now.

The Toll It’s Taken
Steve continued working long after his diagnosis, commuting daily from the Wisconsin border to Minneapolis. But as his health declined, he realized the toll the drive was taking on him. He relocated to Minnesota after realizing this. That move wiped out his savings, and the mounting costs of care, medications, and basic living expenses have left him and his wife in a desperate situation.

He’s a devoted husband, a father of four, a proud grandfather to seven, and the loving owner of two loyal dogs. His family has stood by him every step of the way—but they’re emotionally and financially exhausted.

Why We’re Asking for $50,000
This fund will help ease the overwhelming financial burden and allow Steve to continue his fight. Your support will go toward:

  • Advanced Cancer Treatments & Medications
  • Covering the costs insurance doesn’t—especially for newer chemotherapy and required bone-strengthening infusions.
  • Living Expenses & Daily Bills
  • Helping keep the lights on, food on the table, and a roof over his family’s head during this difficult time.
  • Travel & Medical Appointments
  • Covering the frequent trips to specialists in Stillwater, MN, overnight hospital stays at Regions Hospital, and the many follow-up visits that are part of ongoing cancer care.

Fulfilling a Bucket List Dream

Steve has always dreamed of seeing the rugged beauty of Alaska. It’s the top of a modest list of dreams—something that would give him joy, hope, and beautiful memories with his loved ones.

Support for His Family and Dogs

Helping provide stability for his wife and dogs while Steve focuses on healing.

Let’s Give Steve the Chance to Keep Dreaming
Even after everything, Steve still finds joy in life’s simple pleasures—a barbecue with friends, laughter with his grandchildren, or watching his dogs play in the yard. And more than anything, he still dreams.

Your generosity—whether through a donation, sharing his story, or offering a kind word—can help ease his pain, lift his spirits, and remind him that he is not alone in this fight.

Please consider contributing. No amount is too small. Together, we can make sure Steve gets the care he needs and help him realize his dream of seeing Alaska.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
