Help Steven Walk Again

In May 2023, Steven Johnson — a devoted single father, son, and friend — was in a life-threatening accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down. Doctors said he’d never walk again due to severe spinal cord damage.

But Steven’s determination told a different story.

Against all odds, he’s now learning to walk again using leg braces and patella bars. His recovery has been nothing short of incredible — even doctors are amazed.

Steven is relocating to Houston, TX for the next stage of outpatient rehab, which offers more advanced therapy and equipment. Unfortunately, insurance denied coverage for his own leg braces — a crucial part of his progress.

He’s also raising his 10-year-old son on his own — a bright, active student and rising athlete. Steven’s biggest motivation is to recover so he can be the father his son needs.
